The Men’s Open has been an annual event at the Black Bull since 1972! It has earned a reputation unparalleled by any other golfing event in Alberta. It humbles even the best player, crushes dreams, and tests one’s liver condition daily and yet men from around the province book their annual vacation around this weekend. You will have to experience it to discover its magic.

Date: July 18^th and 19^th

Time: 9AM shotgun start both days

Cost: $240+GST/person – includes Friday practice round, tournament play both Saturday and Sunday with power cart, range balls Saturday and Sunday, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, steak BBQ Saturday, and snacks during the prize presentation on Sunday

Optional weekend extras include: Camping, skins, long drive, KP’s, long putt, and a horserace that is legendary

Format: Stroke play, flighted tournament based on handicap

The Ryder Cup is an annual event in which the Black Bull Golf Resort go head to head with a neighboring course in a fun, friendly competition. The winning course not only claims bragging rights but also the privilege of housing the Championship trophy for the season. This event is exclusive to Black Bull members only and participants must qualify to play.

Growing the fabulous game of golf has always been important to the Black Bull. We have one of the longest standing and most reputable junior golf programs in the province. The Black Bull is proud to offer summer golf camp options for junior golfers to participate in:

JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS – Camps run during select weeks in July and August. The cost for the camp is $160 + GST and is open to all kids aged 7 and older. No previous experience is required! All participants must bring their own clubs.

Included in the cost of the camp:

• 9 hours of instruction
• Fun team learning environment
• Daily snacks & refreshments
• Fun & creative games & competitions
